Why NCRA? Member Committees

NCRA has several committees that members can participate in. These committees advocate for Zero Waste, schedule tours, provides education and outreach, and manage the logistics and newsletter.

Why NCRA? Educational Opportunities

Since 1994 and usually offered in March and September, Introduction to Recycling provides a great background for a career in the field. Introducing trade terms, history, law, practice, current issues and many of the technical problems the recycling industry faces, this course is a must have.

Why NCRA? The Tours

The Northern California Recycling Association (NCRA) gives FREE engaging and behind the scenes tours for small groups about several times a year to cutting-edge facilities and organizations in the Bay Area. Recent tours have included: Newby Island Resource Recovery Park, Urban Ore Ecopark, the Sunnyvale SMART Station and Altamont Landfill.
